Call for Board Members

Hijos Del Sol is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals with various skill sets to join as members of its board.

 

HDS  is committed to community service by making the arts available to our East Salinas community. Throughout the years, HDS has offered art classes three times per week in the evenings and mounted three exhibits annually for the community to enjoy, all free of charge.

HDS strives to continually strengthen the Board of Directors, and we are looking to recruit new board members. We  are  looking for bilingual (Spanish/English) board nominees who are knowledgeable in one or several of the following areas:

 

• Finance; Marketing and Fundraising (network of donor prospects)

• Human Resources

• Grant Writing 

• Program Management

• Leadership in other organizations is a big plus

 

HDS  would like you to lend your talents and experience and to be actively engaged and involved with us. Our Board is responsible for setting the vision, ensuring that HDS is effectively managed and financially solvent and that staff meet all of our funders’  requirements.
